Celebrate
this joyous occasion in unity
with Archbishop
Dolan and the universal church!
During
momentous ceremonies on June 29th, the Feast
of Saints Peter and Paul, Archbishop Timothy
M. Dolan will receive the symbolic garment
from His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI. The pallium signifies
an archbishop's ecclesial and pastoral authority,
in union with the pope, over the metropolitan
province that has been entrusted to his care.
While in Rome, our pilgrimage will take us
to the sacred sites of our Catholic faith,
including the Sistine Chapel, the basilicas
of Christian Rome, and the Catacombs. The pilgrimage
itinerary is expected to include an audience
with the Holy Father. We will also take
in Rome’s ancient history at several venues,
including the Roman Forum and the surrounding
area of the Coliseum.
Please join our new shepherd, Archbishop Dolan,
Catholics from the New York Archdiocese, and
our Catholic family from the world over on
this pilgrimage of faith and joy!
