Visit some of Europe’s oldest and most beautiful
shrines as you travel through Austria and Germany.
Honor Mary in beautiful sacred places such as
Altötting, known as “the German Lourdes.” Visit
Frauenkirche and celebrate Mass at the Church
of the Scourged Savior in the City of Monks.
In Salzburg, see the Shrine of Maria Plain, the
inspiration for Mozart’s “Coronation Mass of
the Blessed Virgin.” Enjoy the picturesque Austrian
Lake District as you continue on to the elegant
Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Mariazell, nestled
in the Alpine valley. Visit Melk Abbey, which
sits in golden splendor high on a scenic overlook
of the Danube Valley. In Vienna, view miraculous
images of Our Lady as you celebrate Mass at St.
Stephen’s Cathedral. This grace-filled program
will lift the song of your soul to new heights.
This program can be combined with a journey through the Swiss Alps to Lucerne, Switzerland, to visit the Shrine of Einsedeln, home of the miraculous “Black Madonna.”

10-Day Itinerary
Day 1 | Sunday | Depart for Germany
Day 2 | Monday | Arrive Munich
Your pilgrimage begins upon arrival in the “The City of Monks.”
Day 3 | Tuesday | Shrine of Altotting | Afternoon Visit to Dachau
Visit the Marian Shrine of Altötting located at the heart of Bavaria. Celebrate Mass at the Shrine. Your visit to Dachau will be steeped in reflection upon seeing the commemorative mass grave dedicated to the unknown dead at Dachau. A Memorial has "Never again" written in several languages to mark this sacred site.
Day 4 | Wednesday | Highlights of Munich | Neuschwanstein Castle
Your highlights tour of Munich includes famous landmarks like the Glockenspiel at Marienplatz and the Frauenkirche or Church of Our Lady. Celebrate Mass at the Church of the Scourged Savior. Visit Neuschwanstein Castle, famous for its fairytale appearance. End your day in the simply elegant city of Salzburg.
Day 5 | Thursday | Shrine of Maria Plain, Salzburg | Afternoon at Leisure in Salzburg
Celebrate Mass at the Shrine of Maria Plain in Salzburg. Admire the unique shopping treasures as you stroll along the Getreidegasse. Enjoy a tour of Mozart’s birthplace as you explore the historic sites in the Old Town of Salzburg. See Monchsberg with the fortress “Hohensalzburg, ”the Salzburg Festspielhaus, Residenzplatz, the Residenz building, and St. Peter's Abbey.
Day 6 | Friday | Lake District and Sound of Music Tour
Today, we drive along the Austrian Lake District, with marvelous views of the Salzkammergut region. Visit Mondsee and St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang. Celebrate Mass at the pilgrimage Church in Hallstadt at Lake Wolfgang. Continue to Fuschl, pictured in the beginning of "The Sound of Music."
Day 7 | Saturday | Admont Abbey | Shrine of Our Lady of Mariazell
Leave Salzburg for a scenic drive to the Benedictine Abbey of Admont. It’s Baroque library is the main cultural attraction. Your afternoon drive across spectacular forested mountains, rushing streams and small market towns, leads to the little village of Mariazell, a favorite Viennese resort. Celebrate Mass at the Marian Shrine of Mariazell.
Day 8 | Sunday | Shrine of Maria Taferl | Melk Abbey | Vienna
This morning you will set out, surrounded by the romantic scenery of the Danube Valley, to celebrate Mass at the Shrine of Maria Taferl. Following lunch your journey continues through old villages with views of steep vineyards and medieval castles. Approach the crowning jewel of the Danube Valley; Melk Abbey. Then, we continue to Vienna.
Day 9 | Monday | Tour of Imperial Vienna | Schonbrunn Palace
Begin your Tour with historical sights including the Vienna Opera, Museums, House of Parliament, City Hall, the Burgtheatre, and the Hofburg Palace, winter residence of the Habsburg emperors. Celebrate Mass at St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Travel a short distance from the Ringstrasse to Schönbrunn Palace and renowned gardens.
