custom itinerary includes sites associated with the history
of John Knox. Your group will visit key historic places
and sites of interest including St. Giles’ Cathedral,
Presbyterianism's Mother Church. Venue options include
sacred places such as York Minster, Coventry Cathedral,
Salisbury Cathedral, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster
Abbey or St.-Martin-in-the Fields.

13-Day Itinerary
Day 1 | Friday | Depart for England
Day 2 | Saturday | Arrive Manchester | Lake District | Edinburgh
Your journey begins with a drive north to the Lake District. Upon entry into Scotland visit Gretna Green.
Day 3 | Sunday: AM/Worship Service | PM/Highlights Tour of Edinburgh/Gala Dinner
Sunday Worship Service at St. Giles’ Cathedral. After Sunday Service we visit the St. Giles’ Cathedral, Presbyterianism's Mother Church, and the Chapel of the Order of the Thistle. Tour Edinburgh, known as the ‘Athens of the North’ because of the ancient castle that dominates the city from high above. Our tour includes the castle, a stroll down the Royal Mile, the Palace of Holyrood, and ends at Princes Street. Enjoy a special Scottish gala dinner featuring bagpipes and Highland dancers at the Prestonfield House in Edinburgh.
Day 4 | Monday | Full day excursion to the Lowlands including St. Andrews
Tour Forth Valley and Scone Palace just outside the Perth. Tour the ancient town of St. Andrew including St. Rule’s Tower and the Cathedral.
Day 5 | Tuesday: Edinburgh | Durham | York
Leave Edinburgh and drive south into England. Continue on to the historic city of Durham. From Durham we continue to York one of Britain’s most fascinating and best-preserved medieval cities.
Day 6 | Wednesday | AM/Highlights of York | PM/Evensong at York Minster
Highlights include York’s magnificent Cathedral of St. Peter. Evensong at York Minster, the largest Medieval Gothic cathedral and treasury of stained glass.
Day 7 | Thursday | York | Coventry, West Midlands
Journey south towards Coventry, passing through the cities of Leeds and Sheffield. Visit the famous cathedral in Coventry. Possible “Evensong” at Coventry Cathedral.
Day 8 | Friday | AM/Excursion to Stratford | PM/Leisure
Your tour of Stratford-Upon-Avon includes the house on Henley Street where William Shakespeare was born. Return to Coventry for an afternoon at leisure.
Day 9 | Saturday | Oxford via the Cotswolds
Head south into the Cotswolds region. Meander through the villages of Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold. Arrive in the historic city of Oxford, ‘City of Dreaming Spires.’
Day 10 | Sunday | London via Salisbury & Canterbury
Travel across the barren Salisbury plain to the city of Salisbury, a religious center since the 13th century. Attend the Sunday Service at Salisbury Cathedral. See the mysterious Stonehenge enroute to Canterbury. The magnificent Christchurch Cathedral will be a highlight of your visit to Canterbury.
Day 11 | Monday | AM/Highlights of London | PM/Concert & Leisure
Highlights of London include Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Whitehall, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column. The Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace is unforgettable. Present a mid-day recital at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey or St.-Martin-in-the Fields. Balance of the day at your leisure to explore city landmarks, museums, or fashionable London shops.

Full day at leisure for independent exploring.
